The Best Eco Friendly Cleaning Products

As much as I love food that is organic, free from chemical nasties and that loves our bodies – what I clean my home with is also very important to me. Cleaning products can contaminate our skin and our food via the surfaces we use them on. But when it comes to knowing what to use, the eco friendly scene is still such a sketchy area, especially with so much greenwashing on the shelves. So I’ve done the hard work for you and explored as many of these brands as I could (my house has never been so clean!) So below I’ve shared the best eco friendly cleaning products with you all..

Kinn Living 716896 Large

Kinn is a family run company, only founded in 2017, who sell plant based products for your body and your home – and I love the fact that they cater for both your body and your home – because both are so heavily connected! Based on heritage aromatherapy-based family recipes, their products are Soil Association COSMOS certified organic. Their ingredients are eco-friendly, non-toxic and vegan. Kind to skin and naturally effective. Kinn’s packaging is fully recyclable, sustainable, and all fully-traceable, ethically-sourced and made in Britain.

What we love the most – The minimalistic + modern packaging, which make not just cleaning products, but eco cleaning products look incredible, next to your sink or shower.

Delphis 3

Delphis launched in 2007, with a strong vision to change the way we view consumable products and to take responsibility for our environmental impact. They’re formulated to have the lowest possible impact on the environment and contain minimal ingredients, which focus solely on just getting the job done.

Delphis Eco began with two chemists from Liverpool who worked on cruise liners, aiming to solve the problem that cruise liners encountered of huge water pollution fines. They wanted to develop ‘clever chemicals’ that would minimise the environmental damage of the cleaning fluids deposited in the sea. They also wanted to make sure the product was gentle enough to not cause harm to the user cleaning large amounts of cruise ship heads in confined spaces.

What we love the most: One thing we noticed with Delphis is how well it performed consistently across the board. The products felt strong, like conventional cleaning products and did exactly what you’d expect a cleaning product to – clean well.

Marcels 2

Marcel’s Green Soap was created by the enthusiasm of, you guessed it, Marcel. He thought it was an unpleasant idea that his sink cabinet was full of aggressive, chemical items that did not make the world cleaner. The packaging is all recycled plastic and the products smell incredible – making cleaning a little more enjoyable.

What we love the most: The scents throughout the whole range were an absolute joy – and all from natural ingredients too. Every time we used the spray throughout the kitchen, it filled the whole room with a really pleasing aroma, that lasted a while too.

Founded by 2 dads, who wanted to see their kids crawl across a floor, which once cleaned, wasn’t just a film of chemicals. Tim, always the optimist, challenged Kevin, an innovative formulation chemist, to create a new line of plant-derived, non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaners that would defy expectations for safety and performance. And from here, Better Life was formed.

What we love the most: Their focus on plant power, and formulas that are safe for all to use.

5. BIO-D

Bio-D are committed to making cleaning products that don’t cost the earth, as well as helping consumers contribute to a healthier, more sustainable planet. They’re no new kid on the block and have been producing their incredible formulations for over 25 years. Only using ingredients that are naturally derived or plant-based, they’re all approved by Cruelty Free International and the Vegan Society.

What we love the most: The un-fragranced laundry products, that are all UK allergy certified too. Gentle for the most sensitive of skins.

Ecozone is a British company, which was founded in 2000. Aiming to reduce the amount of toxic chemicals found in our homes and to cut-down household CO2 emissions, Ecozone have an impressive range of over 60 products. Ecozone aspire for everyone to respect the environment, by giving planet-friendly alternatives to our household problems.

What we love the most: The variety in the range. From laundry detergent to energy efficient lighting, they’re really committed to making our whole home and eco friendly zone.
